4 Awesome Reasons Why Being Bilingual Rocks!

    July 12, 2018 /

Being able to speak more than one language is simply amazing. It’s like the closest thing humans can have to superpowers. They are able to speak without having trouble mixing the two languages. Aside from that, being bilingual (or multilingual) gives a person an advantage to grow personally and professionally because (1) he will be able to communicate and understand more people; (2) improve his ability to learn; (3), have better opportunities of employment; and (4) it’s a great mental workout.

MAMANGAL BEACH, CATANDUANES: A Comprehensive DYI Travel Guide

    July 5, 2018 /

I love places that are less touristy but still have loads to offer. The Mamangal Beach Catanduanes is one of the hardest to reach in Virac yet one of the most beautiful beaches that I have ever laid my eyes on. Located in Mamangal, a small sitio adjacent to Brgy. Balite, it has a wide and long shoreline with a great view.

    Mt. Balagbag in Rodriguez, Rizal

    July 1, 2018 /

The term “Mother Mountain” for mountaineers mean the very first mountain that you’ve ever climbed and for me that is Mt. Balagbag in Rizal way back March 4, 2014. This is also my very first trail run. My friends dragged me here so I could prepare for my then upcoming 21 KM (13.1 miles) race on that same week. It was challenging and exhausting but definitely worth the it. Here’s a quick guide to climbing Mt. Balagbag in Rodriguez, Rizal.

10 Reasons Why You Should Travel Alone At Least Once in Your Life

    June 23, 2018 /

There is a distinct, intoxicating magic to stepping onto a plane, train, or bus, knowing that the only person you are responsible for is yourself. While we all love the shared laughter of a family vacation or the romantic sunsets shared with a partner, there is an entirely different level of fulfillment that comes when you decide to travel alone. It doesn’t matter if you are simply hopping over to a neighboring city for a weekend “staycation” or crossing oceans to explore a culture vastly different from your own; the act of solo exploration is a rite of passage that everyone should experience. I’ll be the first to admit: the…

Bruno Mars 24K Magic Concert in the Philippines Was Amazing (Just The Way You Are)!

    May 14, 2018 /

What’s a leather-clad, metalhead chick doing at Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic concert? Easy. The man’s pure gold—24 karats of it, to be exact. It all started back in 2010 when I first heard Grenade. One minute I was headbanging to heavy riffs, next thing you know, I was scream-singing “I’d catch a grenade for ya!” like I’d just been personally wronged. The melody? Insanely catchy. The lyrics? Surprisingly deep. And Bruno? Let’s just say the man didn’t just bring vocals—he brought the gospel. His high, crystal-clear notes soared above the sea of auto-tuned synth-pop and smacked me right in my musical soul. So yes, this metal chick showed up—eyeliner sharp,…
