THE SEÑORITA
Hello, travelers! My name is Polly Amora, the señorita behind GoldenIslandSenorita.Net. Welcome to the blog!
I’m based in the vibrant city of Manila, Philippines, where I wear many hats and enjoy every moment of it. Let me give you a glimpse into my world.
First and foremost, I’m a business manager, hustling in the bustling city. But that’s just one facet of what I do.
I also have a soft spot for healthcare, and I work as a private duty nurse from time to time. It’s incredibly rewarding to lend a helping hand when needed.
Now, let’s talk music! Teaching drums and piano to budding musicians is a real passion of mine. Seeing my students light up with the joy of music is simply priceless.
And then there’s languages. I absolutely adore helping others explore new languages, from the basics to deeper linguistic adventures.
But here’s where my heart truly soars—travel! I’m a certified travel addict with an insatiable curiosity for exploring new places. My love for history and knack for research come in handy as I uncover the rich stories and hidden gems of each destination.
Now, let’s talk about my quirky obsession—I’m a bit of an organization freak! Whether it’s decluttering my space or creating well-structured plans, I thrive on bringing order to chaos.
Last but certainly not least, I’m a storyteller at heart. Writing about my adventures and sharing my experiences with others is something I cherish. It’s my way of inviting you to join me on incredible journeys through my words.
One thing I firmly believe in is that you don’t have to give up your job to travel. You can have the best of both worlds! Work can be fulfilling, and so can exploring new horizons. It’s all about finding that perfect balance.
So, that’s me in a nutshell — a friendly mix of business, caregiving, music, languages, travel, organization, and storytelling. Thanks for taking a peek into my world!

I earn a bit of commission through collaborations, affiliate marketing and ads. Thank you very much for the supporting me through this!
What do you consider to be most rewarding aspect of being a travel blogger?
One of the most rewarding aspects of being a travel blogger is having the opportunity to influence/encourage people to travel. Every time i get an email thanking me for writing about a place or telling me that my blog helped them plan their vacation, i do a little dance. The feeling is amazing!
How much time do you put into writing content?
I’d estimate 3 hours for brainstorming, drafting the entire article, and proofreading.

I wish! But, no, I run a business and have a couple side hustles (offline).
Very good blog! Do you have any suggestions for aspiring writers? I’m planning to start my own blog soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you advise starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m totally confused .. Any recommendations? Bless you!
Hello, Alphonso, and thank you for stopping by. My experience has taught me that I should have begun with a paid Wordpress plan from a different host. WP(dot)com is quite restrictive, and you won’t be able to fully utilize your site’s potential, such as customization, SEO tools, and ad installation. Also, it will seem like starting from scratch once you decide to transfer from WP(dot)com to other host. There are basic plans available for beginners, and if you see that the web traffic is moving well, you may upgrade to a higher plan. Best of luck!
Everything is very open with a really clear description of the challenges. It was definitely informative. Your website is extremely helpful. Many thanks for sharing!
Thank you very much for the comment and for stopping by Pat!

We absolutely love your blog and find many of your post’s to be exactly what I’m looking for. Does one offer guest writers to write content for you personally? I wouldn’t mind publishing a post or elaborating on a lot of the subjects you write with regards to here. Again, awesome weblog!
Hi Jackey, thank you very much for your kind words and for stopping by. Guest posting is currently not open since I am in the process of updating the site; however, it may reopen after I have finished straightening things out.
Hmm it appears like your site ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I wrote and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I too am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to the whole thing. Do you have any helpful hints for inexperienced blog writers? I’d certainly appreciate it.
Hi Redge, thank you very much for your visiting and for your kind words! My advice would prolly be to start blogging now. Find a niche that interests you, get a paid WordPress plan, and write about what interests you the most. Best of luck! ❤️
