About the SEÑORITA

Hey there, fellow adventurers! I’m Polly Amora, the señorita behind Golden Island Señorita. A go-getter by day, and a wanderlust-fueled explorer by heart. As a dedicated general manager in the vibrant whirlwind of wholesale trade right here in Metro Manila, I can honestly say that I’m living my dream. But you know what else sets my soul on fire? Traveling the globe and immersing myself in new cultures, flavors, and experiences. I have no intention of hitting pause on my career to satisfy my wanderlust cravings. Why choose between two loves when you can have the best of both worlds?

When I’m not diving into the world of wholesale deals and negotiations, you’ll find me lost in the joys of writing and organizing. It’s like my creative fuel! That’s why I decided to bring this blog to life – Golden Island Señorita. Here, I spill all my travel secrets, from crafting epic itineraries to dishing out savvy budget tips. And hey, organizing isn’t just a hobby for me; it’s a way of life!

Oh, and when I’m not lost in the world of travel, you can catch me diving deep into the ocean as a freediving enthusiast, teaching kids how to play the drums, or satisfying my inner neat freak with some serious organizing skills. Plus, let’s not forget about my three adorable fur babies and my swoon-worthy French boyfriend – they add an extra sprinkle of joy to my already exciting life.

Now, let’s talk about the heartbeat of Golden Island Señorita. This isn’t your average travel blog; it’s a vibrant blend of travel and lifestyle musings crafted with love and passion. Here’s what you can expect from me:

  1. I’m here to debunk the myth that you have to bid farewell to your career to explore the world. With a sprinkle of determination and a dash of creativity, you can juggle both – and I’m living proof of that!
  2. When it comes to unraveling the beauty of the Philippines (and beyond), I’ve got your back with insider travel plans, detailed itineraries, and budget-friendly tips to help you make the most of your journey.
  3. I’m on a mission to tantalize your taste buds with honest reviews and mouthwatering recommendations from my culinary escapades.
  4. And most importantly, I’m here to foster a community where fellow adventurers can connect, share stories, and inspire each other to chase their wanderlust dreams.

So, if you’re ready to embrace a life where work and wanderlust intertwine seamlessly, hop on board with Golden Island Señorita. Let’s show the world that you don’t have to choose – you can have it all!

  1. Very good blog! Do you have any suggestions for aspiring writers? I’m planning to start my own blog soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you advise starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m totally confused .. Any recommendations? Bless you!

    1. Hello, Alphonso, and thank you for stopping by. My experience has taught me that I should have begun with a paid Wordpress plan from a different host. WP(dot)com is quite restrictive, and you won’t be able to fully utilize your site’s potential, such as customization, SEO tools, and ad installation. Also, it will seem like starting from scratch once you decide to transfer from WP(dot)com to other host. There are basic plans available for beginners, and if you see that the web traffic is moving well, you may upgrade to a higher plan. Best of luck!

  2. Everything is very open with a really clear description of the challenges. It was definitely informative. Your website is extremely helpful. Many thanks for sharing!

  4. We absolutely love your blog and find many of your post’s to be exactly what I’m looking for. Does one offer guest writers to write content for you personally? I wouldn’t mind publishing a post or elaborating on a lot of the subjects you write with regards to here. Again, awesome weblog!

    1. Hi Jackey, thank you very much for your kind words and for stopping by. Guest posting is currently not open since I am in the process of updating the site; however, it may reopen after I have finished straightening things out.

  5. Hmm it appears like your site ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I wrote and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I too am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to the whole thing. Do you have any helpful hints for inexperienced blog writers? I’d certainly appreciate it.

    1. Hi Redge, thank you very much for your visiting and for your kind words! My advice would prolly be to start blogging now. Find a niche that interests you, get a paid WordPress plan, and write about what interests you the most. Best of luck! ❤️
