About the SEÑORITA
Hi there, fellow adventurers! I’m Polly Amora, the señorita behind Golden Island Señorita. By day, I’m a driven general manager in the fast-paced world of wholesale trade in Metro Manila, and by heart, I’m a globetrotter with a love for discovering new cultures, flavors, and experiences. Who says you have to choose between a thriving career and a passion for travel? Why not have both?
When I’m not sealing deals and traveling, you’ll find me writing, organizing, or pouring my travel secrets into this blog. From creating epic itineraries to sharing budget-friendly tips, Golden Island Señorita is where I combine my love for travel and organization.
I love watersports, from surfing to underwater adventures, and teaching drums to kids is a blast. Life’s even better with my three adorable kitties and a lively pup keeping me busy—it’s the perfect mix of fun and fulfillment!

How often do you travel?
Every year, I attempt to visit one country and 3 provinces here in the Philippines. I like returning to places that I’ve visited previously.
What’s your favorite country aside from the Philippines?
Japan & France
Where are you from?
I’m from the Philippines.
How many languages can you speak?
I speak four languages (Filipino, English, French, & Russian).
Do you accept quest posting?
Unfortunately, I do not accept guest postings at this time.
What sources of income does your blog have?
I earn a bit of commission through collaborations, affiliate marketing and ads. Thank you very much for the supporting me through this!
What do you consider to be most rewarding aspect of being a travel blogger?
One of the most rewarding aspects of being a travel blogger is having the opportunity to influence/encourage people to travel. Every time I get an email thanking me for writing about a place or telling me that my blog helped them plan their vacation, I do a little dance. The feeling is amazing!
How much time do you put into writing content?
I’d estimate 3 hours for brainstorming, drafting the entire article, and proofreading.
Is blogging your main source of income? How do I start a blog that makes money?
I wish! But, no, I’m a regular employee and have a couple side hustles (offline).
i saw your answers on quora about mlm thought I’d visit your website. you have strong opinions and i admire you for that . i do mlm and its not that bad cheers!
Hi Rudy! Wow that thread was last year? Hahaha! Thank you for dropping by!
I don’t consider all MLM’s a scam. But my answer remains the same. Most MLMs are not legit – I can name a gazillion website/companies that do this. Why? Because there are NO tangible products and the entire focus is on chain recruiting. Affiliate commissions are paid out as a direct result of recruiting others. Rather than earning commissions based on the sale of legitimate products or services. This is exactly how a pyramid scheme operates. You can make money with schemes like this, but they simply do not last. Only so many people are willing to join a scheme like this, so eventually people stop making money and they jump ship. Right into the next ‘shiny object’.
Fancy seeing your blog, sweetheart. So this is what you have been up to.
