Hey there! Welcome to Golden Island Senorita, a travel and lifestyle blog. I’m thrilled to have you visiting!

I aim to inspire people to see travel as an essential part of their lives, regardless of their job or other responsibilities. Travel is accessible and worthwhile, I hope to encourage more people to explore the world and experience all that it has to offer.

This blog has been running since May 23, 2018 and offers useful articles about adventure, travel tips & itineraries both in the Philippines and worldwide, and all things travel.

The Señorita

I’m Polly Amora, the señorita behind GoldenIslandSenorita.Net. I am the general manager to a private company in the Philippines for 7 years and a travel addict who is on a mission to explore the world and experience it all. From the best sights, to the craziest adventures, I’m here for it!

There are numerous reasons why making time to traveling quite challenging in the corporate world, such as financial constraints, work commitments, health concerns, and visa restrictions. I don’t see quitting as an option as someone who genuinely enjoys their job. However, with careful planning, budgeting, and a willingness to prioritize travel, it is possible to overcome many of these barriers and experience the joys of travel.

One foot in the office, one foot somewhere else. Showing you how to live an adventurous life without sacrificing career success.

3.5 Stars – Above Average: “Well, well, well, aren’t you fancy? This place is like discovering a hidden gem in a sea of mediocrity. The food is above par, the ambiance is cozy, and you leave feeling pleasantly surprised. It’s not just good; it’s above average – a pleasant palate pleaser!”

3 Stars – Good: “You’re in for a treat! This restaurant is like your favorite rom-com – predictable but oh-so-enjoyable. The food is tasty, the atmosphere is lively, and you leave feeling satisfied. It’s not groundbreaking, but hey, it gets the job done – good job, kitchen crew!”

2.5 Stars – Average: “Welcome to the land of ‘meh.’ This place is like a beige wall – bland, uninspiring, and forgettable. The food is okay, the service is mediocre, and you leave feeling like you’ve just wasted a meal. It’s not bad, but it’s not exactly memorable either – just average.”

2 Stars – Fair: “Well, this is like getting socks for Christmas – not exactly what you wanted, but hey, it’s better than nothing. The food is edible, the service is passable, and you leave feeling underwhelmed. It’s not terrible, but it’s definitely not worth writing home about – fair warning!”

1.5 Stars – Below Average: “Brace yourself for disappointment! This place is like stepping on a Lego – painful, regrettable, and a downright disaster. The food is subpar, the service is lackluster, and you leave feeling like you’ve just survived a culinary nightmare. It’s below average – avoid like the plague!”
