Masil Charcoal Grill Restaurant - Capitol Commons, Pasig City

We’ve gone to a lot of Korean restaurants around the Metro, and Masil is one of the best. It’s got delicious food, great service, and a reasonable price. I first visited Masil at their Tiendesitas location in 2018 and had their charcoal grilled meat, which I loved, so I’ve returned every now and then since.

Ambiance at Masil Charcoal Grill Restaurant

The branch at Capitol Commons in Pasig City is my go-to as it’s close to my flat. The atmosphere is laid-back and cozy with bright colors and large, padded booths. If you are hesitant to eat indoors, al fresco dining is also available.

Food Quality

Dosirak 도시락, similar to the more well-known Japanese bento, are Korean packed lunches that often can include a variety of side dishes, but it usually always includes rice, side dishes, and some type of main protein.

Here are my favorites:

Bibimbap (385 PHP)

Service Quality

Throughout our lunch, the staff were attentive without being intrusive. We never had to wait or ask for a refill. Even during my previous visits, the service has always been excellent. The staff are friendly and accommodating.

Final Thoughts

I can think of a few good Korean restaurants in the Metro, and Masil is definitely one of them. I’ve tried several of their dishes (besides the Dosirak meals) and enjoyed most of them, though a few weren’t quite to my taste. I’d give Masil 4 out of 5 stars since I think there’s still room for improvement. Overall, dining at Masil is always an enjoyable experience, and I’ll definitely be returning!
