About the SEÑORITA
Hi there, fellow adventurers! I’m Polly Amora, the señorita behind Golden Island Señorita. By day, I’m a driven manager in the fast-paced world of wholesale trade in Metro Manila, and by heart, I’m a globetrotter with a love for discovering new cultures, flavors, and experiences. Who says you have to choose between a thriving career and a passion for travel? Why not have both?
When I’m not sealing deals and traveling, you’ll find me writing, organizing, or pouring my travel secrets into this blog. From creating epic itineraries to sharing budget-friendly tips, Golden Island Señorita is where I combine my love for travel and organization.
I love watersports, from surfing to underwater adventures, and teaching drums to kids is a blast. Life’s even better with my three adorable kitties and a lively pup keeping me busy—it’s the perfect mix of fun and fulfillment.
Oh, come on, people! Just because my name is Polly Amora doesn’t mean I’m out here ticking off your cheeky assumptions. No judgment if that’s your thing —I respect it— but my heart is already booked on a one-way, croissant-filled journey with my French bae.

How often do you travel?
I aim to visit at least one new country and three different provinces in the Philippines every year. I’ve also got a soft spot for revisiting places I’ve already been—there’s something special about experiencing a familiar destination with fresh eyes. It’s not always about ticking off new spots; sometimes, it’s about deepening the connection with ones you already love.
What’s your favorite country aside from the Philippines?
Japan & France
Where are you from?
I’m from the Philippines.
How many languages can you speak?
I speak four languages (Filipino, English, French, & Russian).
Do you accept quest posting?
Unfortunately, I do not accept guest postings at this time.
What sources of income does your blog have?
I earn a modest commission through brand collaborations, affiliate marketing, and a sprinkle of ad revenue. It’s not a gold mine, but every little bit helps! And honestly, I’m so grateful to everyone who supports the blog—whether it’s by clicking a link, reading a post, or just cheering me on. It means the world!
What do you consider to be most rewarding aspect of being a travel blogger?
It’s the incredible feeling of knowing I’ve inspired someone to explore the world. Every time I receive a message saying my blog helped someone plan their trip or discover a destination they wouldn’t have found otherwise, it absolutely makes my day. Moments like those remind me why I do this—I’m not just sharing stories; I’m helping people create their own.
How much time do you put into writing content?
On average, I’d say about three hours per post—from brainstorming ideas to drafting the article and giving it a good polish. Some days the words flow like coffee in the morning, other days it’s a bit more of a wrestling match with the keyboard—but hey, that’s all part of the creative process.
Is blogging your main source of income? How do I start a blog that makes money?
I wish it were! But nope—I still have a full-time job and a few offline side hustles to keep the bills paid and the coffee flowing. Blogging is more of a passion project for now, though it does bring in a little income here and there.

You’re positively winning at life right now! Keep it up!
Thank you very much. <3
I admire people who choose to be independent rather than being managed. It is important to encourage innovative thinking, in a world where routine work is soon going to be mechanised, people are going to make their mark if they are able to think creatively. Entrepreneurs often have the ability to look at the same thing, but think of it differently.
Thank you very much. And I agree with that. I know I lot of people who are independent and they excel in their chosen careers not just entrepreneurs. It’s all about the person’s motivation and perseverance.
I love that you’re a person with a highly optimistic outlook on life and a go-getter attitude. Greetings from Germany.
I try. Haha! Thank you! <3
It seems like you’re always up to something very cool. MMA, marathon, dragonboat, and traveling… What’s next?
It’s for you to know and for me to find out. Thank you for dropping by! 😀
It’s okay to be afraid, as long as this fear does not get to take over and rule your life. Glad you took the leap. I admire your courage.
Thank you very much. <3
