After our exciting adventure, we headed to Log Cabin Sagada for dinner, conveniently located a stone’s throw from the museum. Known as Sagada’s premier dining spot, Log Cabin has delighted both travelers and locals with its Western home-style cuisine for more than two decades.
Ambiance at Log Cabin Sagada
This restaurant really lives up to its name—it’s designed just like a log cabin, and the vibe totally matches. The wooden furniture throughout gives it a touch of rustic charm, but it’s got a modern twist too.
Food Selections & Quality
The food looked presentable and they give you big portions, easily enough for two people. It tasted alright, but it’s not something that will stick with you or make you want to come back for more. Or back to Sagada just for it.
I ordered MENU IV. A bed of sautéed potatoes with shredded chicken and mushroom sauce.
MENU II: Paprika chicken in sour cream gravy with French fries and cucumber salad.
MENU V. Pork steak with sautéed vegetables and mashed potatoes.
Service Quality
The service is pretty much non-existent. If you want anything extra or need drinks, you’ll have to take charge and go up to the counter yourself. You’ll only spot the staff when they check on your order, bring your food, and take your payment.
Verdict
I’d give Log Cabin Sagada 3 stars out of 5. The restaurant impresses with its cozy log cabin ambiance and generous portions that are perfect for sharing. However, while the food is decent, it doesn’t leave a lasting impression that would make me crave a return visit specifically for it. The service is minimal, requiring guests to be proactive in ordering extras or drinks. Overall, it’s a solid choice for a meal in Sagada, but falls short of being exceptional in both food quality and service experience.
