Depression: Understand what’s going on | Mental Health

The world was shocked on the recent passing of Anthony Bourdain due to suicide and people couldn’t believe someone who has “extraordinary ability to connect with people” would take his own like just like that. In fact, he was laughing, smiling and full of personality even off camera just days before his suicide according to the people who cooked and served one of his final ‘Parts Unknown‘ meals. Overall, you couldn’t see any signs of depression.

Last February 1, 2015, I ran my first 42km, the Condura Skyway Marathon: I Run For A Hero.  I was a little apprehensive as it was my first time to run a race that I think couldn’t finish. Honestly, it was an overwhelming and humbling experience. Maybe one day I’ll run the race again and break my personal record but for now, I’m just really thankful to have done it and finished injure-free.
