Genki Sushi Bonifacio Stopover

I’ve always had a good time at Genki Sushi, from the delicious sushi, sashimi, and nigiri to the relaxed environment and friendly staff. I went back to Genki Sushi after two years, and here’s what I experienced.

Ambiance

The atmosphere is relaxed and casual. They have tables that can accommodate 4-6 people on long back couches.

Food

Prior to the pandemic, I was a regular at Genki Sushi, particularly the outlets in Bonifacio Stopover and Ayala Malls The 30th. From the appetizers to the bento sets, I thoroughly loved their wide selection.  The dish is presentable, and you can tell from its taste that they’re freshly made.

Some of my favorites aren’t available at the time of visit.

Here are some my favorites:

Service

When you go in, the staff will greet you with “Irasshaimase!”, which means “welcome, please come in.” You will be asked how many people are in your group and taken to your table. A staff will always be on stand-by nearby and are always willing to assist you in whatever you need. When I first visited, I didn’t know how to use their touchscreen menus, so the staff patiently guided me and pretty much handled the entire ordering process for me. The service is incredibly timely, and the meals are delivered to your table in mini-shinkansen, which I think is fantastic.

Overall

It’s always a great time at Genki Sushi. The only thing that annoyed me a little was that some of the items on the menu were not available. It wasn’t a big deal because it only gave me another reason to go back there, which only excites me.
