Masil Charcoal Grill Restaurant Review
We’ve gone to a lot of Korean restaurants around the Metro, and Masil is one of the best. It’s got delicious food, great service, and a reasonable price. I first visited Masil at their Tiendesitas location in 2018 and had their charcoal grilled meat, which I loved, so I’ve returned every now and then since.
Ambiance
The branch at Capitol Commons is my go-to as it’s close to my flat. The atmosphere is laid-back and cozy with bright colors and large, padded booths. If you are hesitant to eat indoors, al fresco dining is also available.
Food
Dosirak 도시락, similar to the more well-known Japanese bento, are Korean packed lunches that often can include a variety of side dishes, but it usually always includes rice, side dishes, and some type of main protein.
Here are my favorites:

Dak Bulgogi (375 PHP)
Charcoal Grilled Chicken Bulgogi

La Galbi/Japchae (595 PHP)
Marinated Premium Short Ribs & Japchae

Jaeyuk Bokem (373 PHP)
Stir Fried Spicy Pork Bulgogi

Bibimbap (385 PHP)
Mixed rice w/ assorted vegetable and charcoal-grilled (beef/pork/chicken)
Service
Throughout our lunch, the staff were attentive without being intrusive. We never had to wait or ask for a refill. Even during my previous visits, the service has always been excellent. The staff are friendly and accommodating.
Overall
I can think of a few good Korean restaurants in the Metro, but nothing tops Masil’s authentic taste and service.
