Harlan + Holden Glasshouse, Makati City

I’ve been hearing good reviews about Harlan Holden Glasshouse menu so I decided to give it a try. Until now, I’m still undecided.

Harlan Holden Glasshouse Restaurant Review

Ambiance

The ambiance was classy. The interiors are wonderful particularly because of the high ceiling and furnishings. The calm atmosphere made it conducive for great conversations.

Food

If you look at the menu, your initial thought is that it doesn’t offer much of a variety. Pricey. Even though the size of the servings were decent I felt cheated on two of three dishes I’ve tasted.

Pesto Pasta (290 php)

The pesto pasta was creamy, very salty and had ‘heavy’ pesto seasoning, which works for me since I love savory dishes.  The pasta was al dente. Overall, I liked it.

Parma Ham & Emmental Sandwich (490 php)

Parma Ham & Emmental Sandwich – I didn’t enjoy much at all. Parma Ham was too salty for my preference, and it was a little bit oily. The bread was very dense and was on the bland side. I don’t think I would try this one again.

Mascarpone Tiramisu (270 php)

Tiramisu was okay. It tasted like Tiramisu, yes but I had better desserts from other restaurants even those that aren’t well-known.

Service

Staff was courteous, very pleasant, and attentive.

Overall

I plan to give this place another try to sample other food offerings.
